Founded in 1976 by its present Managing Director, James Wigan, LTS has established itself as a leading international bloodstock agency. In particular, it has built up a reputation for providing a personal service to breeders and has helped in the establishment of high-class portfolios of breeding stock for a number of leading international breeders. A comprehensive service includes purchases/sales both privately and at auction worldwide of racehorses and breeding stock, stallion syndication/management, advice on matings, insurance, transport, valuations, etc…

Amongst the successful stallions syndicated and managed by LTS have been KRIS, SELKIRK, OWINGTON, PHARLY, PURSUIT OF LOVE, YOUNG GENERATION, SLIP ANCHOR, ROBELLINO, INCHINOR, SHANTOU, etc.

Mares purchased include ANNIE EDGE (dam of 6 Stakes winners, including Champion Miler, SELKIRK), REIKO (dam of 2 Gr 1 winners, TIKKANEN – Breeders Cup Turf Gr 1 & Turf Classic Gr 1 - & TURGEON), HEARTBREAK (dam of Gr 1 winners, CORRAZONA and THIRTY SIX RED), EXACTLY SO (dam of Gr 1 winner EXACTLY SHARP), MARIE D’ARGONNE (dam of Gr 1 winner POLAR FALCON), THIMBLERIGGER (dam of Gr 1 winner MISTER BAILEYS), RUN THE RISK (dam of Gr 1 winner RISK ME), KRAKOW (dam of 3 Stakes winners, including Gr 1 winner, BRAASHEE), SOPHONISBE (dam of ZAGREB, winner of the Irish Derby Gr 1), RAHAAM (dam of 3 Stakes winners including CASSANDRA GO winner of the King’s Stand Stakes Gr 2), MASSKANA (dam of 3 Stakes winners, including Gr 1 winner and French Champion 2YO filly SULK, EAGLE MOUNTAIN), LOUELLA (dam Gr 1 winner, LEADERSHIP), TREMPKATE (dam of triple Gr 2 winner, KATDOGAWN), MIDNIGHT AIR (dam of Gr 2 winner, MIDNIGHT LINE).

In 2006, LTS was the leading purchaser of breeding stock at auction in Europe. These purchases included world record priced mare MAGICAL ROMANCE at 4,600,000gns and world record priced filly out of training SPINNING QUEEN at 3,000,000gns.

LTS has always been a leader in the Japanese market, for which it has been instrumental in the purchase of many top stallions and broodmares from Europe, USA and Australia. LTS has also arranged the lease to Japan of top stallions such as DANEHILL, LAST TYCOON, THUNDER GULCH, SPINNING WORLD, HENNESSY, PEINTRE CELEBRE, DESERT KING, VICTORY SPEECH and ENTREPRENEUR and HELISSIO’s lease from Japan to the National Stud.

A new venture for LTS over the last four years has been its appointment to oversee the establishment of a major racing and breeding operation in Russia and the revival of Voskhod Stud, the most famous stud in Russia.
